5.5×5.5 inch books extending and problematizing a discussion on the moving image. Intentionally obfuscating the language we use to discuss signal paths with digital and analog processes against the language of film and video, the book playfully flips through still frames of the Macintosh loading icon-Spinning wheel of death, or the Microsoft Blue screen of death. The books ultimately transcribe not only the digital moving image into the analog space before its collapse, but the virtual iconography as it foreshadows the end. We are left wondering about death, language, human and machine experiences and how each influences the other.
